Sharing Your Volunteer Story
City of Richmond Volunteer Management Strategy Updates

Help contribute to creating a culture of volunteerism and community connectedness by sharing your story

The City of Richmond is updating its Volunteer Management Strategy and we NEED to hear from YOU. Help us drive the Volunteer Management Strategy by sharing your story.

We want to learn about your experiences volunteering so that we can support your needs and goals as a volunteer.

We are collecting personal stories of volunteer experiences within the City of Richmond that may be shared with the community. Do you have a unique story or experience of volunteering? Has volunteering impacted you in some way? Would you like to share that experience with others in the community?

Stories may be featured on the City website or websites of our partner organizations, in newsletters, at public recognition events, or in some other public way. You can choose to leave your story anonymous or put a name or initials to it. If you have a story to share, please email it to Angela Rai at

For more information on the Volunteer Management Strategy, the survey, or about contributing a volunteer story please contact the Volunteer Development Coordinator, Wing Ho at or 604-247-4947 or Angela Rai, Planner with Community Services, at or 604-247-4924.
