Description

Purpose of the position:
Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout the event

Responsibilities and Activities:
Be available and able to help with tasks required throughout the event. Will be meeting artists at the parking lot, taking them to the green room, walking them to the stages, ensuring they have what they need. Need to be informative, comfortable talking to artists and can navigate their way throughout the site.



Site Location: Steveston Village

Working Conditions:
Must be phyiscally fit

Benefits to the volunteer:

Experience in event production

Mandatory requirements
: Closed-toe shoes only. No flip flop allowed.

Additional info: Skills, Experience and Abilities required:
Ability to follow directions and manage a group of individuals. Leadership skills required.

Richmond Canada Day Zone Captain 
Richmond Canada Day

Description

Position Summary:
Assistance with the implementation of one-time events on event day, including but not limited to: set-up, cleanup, volunteer check-in, zone management and scheduling meal breaks

Specific Duties & Tasks
Setting up, cleaning up
Checking in volunteers in your zone
Recording and scheduling meal breaks
Relaying information to Volunteer Coordinator

Skills & Qualifications
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to follow directions and work independently
Light manual labour will be required
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Several hours of standing will be required
Supervision of other volunteers and sections will be required

Time Commitment & Schedule
One-time events require volunteer to be available for the day of event only, for the entire day (set-up to clean-up)

Additional info: Orientation/Training Event-specific instructions will be given to those who are successful. Please expect to meet with the Volunteer Coordinator for about 60 minutes prior to the event
