Heritage Ambassador Training Session - Britannia Shipyards
Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site

Description

Training Session for those volunteers interested in becoming Heritage Ambassadors at Britannia Shipyards.

As a Heritage Ambassador volunteer, you will share the stories of the people who lived and worked at Britannia. You will be dressed in period costumes, while demonstrating activities such as playing cards, sewing, net mending and much more.

No experience is necessary. Volunteers will not be acting/in character. Volunteers must be 15+, passionate about history and willing to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the public.

Get to know other volunteers and staff, meet visitors from all over the world, learn about your local history, take part in training and field trips and be entered for fun prizes!

Generally, shifts take place 11:45am-4:15pm, 7 days a week. A commitment of 6 shifts from May-September is required.
