Information on Selected Volunteer Opportunity

Family Farm Day 2018 Volunteer 
London Heritage Farm


Purpose of the position:
To help with one of the stations at our London Family Farm Day event, which could include but is not limited to: Kids woodworking, crafts, vintage photo booth, games, concession, and more.

Responsibilities and Activities:
To help with one of the stations either by explaining game instructions, collecting food or games tickets, helping with the photo booth costumes, restocking craft supplies, etc. We are also looking for photographers who would like to gain more experience taking pictures for events.

Date/ Time of the event or activity:
Sunday August 19th, 2018. From 10:00am-4:00pm

Site location:
Outdoor event. 6511 Dyke Road , Richmond BC.

Working conditions:
We will provide shade and seating for all volunteers. We are flexible with positions, and although some stations will require volunteers to stand, we are flexible and can provide full day seating for those who need it.

Benefits to the volunteer:
This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to complete volunteer service hours, especially for high school students. Anyone looking for extra hours prior to, or after the event can also contact Rafael Paterno

No experience required.

Personal traits/qualities desired:
We are looking for outgoing volunteers who are not afraid to jump into new tasks and situations and who are comfortable speaking to both adults and children.

Education/ Qualifications required:
No qualifications required. This would be an ideal position for high school students. There will be adult supervision at all stations.

English required, and anything else is a bonus!

Training required for this position:
We will ask volunteers to arrive 30 minutes early for their shift, so that they can learn the requirements for their station. Otherwise, no training is required.

Minimum Time Commitment expected:
We are flexible with the length of shifts. Any of your time and help would be greatly appreciated!

Sunday: Mornings (6am to 12pm), Sunday: Afternoons (12 to 5pm)
