Britannia Shipyards-Heritage Greeter Training Session 2018
Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site

Description

Come and join us for a fun, interactive Training Session and learn what it takes to be a Volunteer Heritage Greeter! We'll tell you more about volunteering at Britannia and we'll do a fun scavenger hunt activity to learn more about the site! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Our Heritage Greeters are an important part of our site. They are the first person a visitor may encounter, so we are looking for friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic individuals! Our Heritage Greeters greet visitors, answer basic questions and are an ambassador for the site. Volunteers must be willing to learn. We will teach you basic information about the site and our buildings.

We offer short shifts (2 hours+) that are available each day of the week (great for students that are only available on weekends)! You will gain experience in tourism, history, education and customer service while meeting new friends and experience for your resume!

This session is mandatory before beginning to volunteer. We hope to see you soon!

Additional info: The benefits of volunteering at Britannia include gaining experience in customer service, history and education while meeting new friends. Our volunteers will be able to take advantage of special privileges!
