Route Marshalls and Parking Lot Marshalls 
Chimo Community Services Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Description

Purpose of the position: To help walkers stay on route, direct parking traffic and for safety.

For the Parking Lot Marshalls: Volunteers over the age of 18 are preferred

Responsibilities and Activities: Directing walkers and answering questions from walkers. Directing parking traffic

Date/ Time of the event or activity:
Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 3:00pm 8:00pm

Site location:
Gilmore Park United Church, at 8060 No. 1 Road, is starting place of the Walk. Walkers will go east on Blundell North on Railway East on Granville Return to start There is underground parking at the church. We will need Parking Lot Marshalls to aid in the parking in an orderly and safe manor

Working conditions: Outdoors. Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours.

Benefits to the volunteer:
1. To support Chimo Community Services in our goal to raise funds and awareness of Richmond's homeless, hungry and hurting.

2. Students can earn volunteer hours

Additional information about the position:
This is a family friendly event. It will be a lot of fun and all volunteers are welcome to join us for a warm meal and treat at the end of the event.

Additional info: Training required for this position:
An email will be sent out a week before the Event with more details regarding the expectations.
There will also be onsite training the day of the Event.

Minimum Time Commitment expected: 4 hours

Other expectations of volunteer:
Dress for the weather and be engaged
