Bingo Facilitator 
South Arm Older Adults Program

Description

Purpose of the position:
-build community
-engage the mind
-have fun

Responsibilities and Activities:
-Clearly and effectively communicate with older adults
-Engage and facilitate the Bingo game
-set up and take down

Date/ Time of the event or activity:
Wednesdays at 11am-11:45am (except the 1st Wednesday of the month)

Site location:
-South Arm Community Centre
-Seniors Lounge

Working conditions:
-Must be able to communicate clear and effectively

Reports to: -
Seniors Coordinator, Shannon Keefe

Benefits to the volunteer:
-Gain leadership skills
-Further develop communication skills specifically working with older adults

Additional info: Skills, experience, abilities required:
1.) Experience leading groups in activities such as, games
2.) Interested in building community and working with older adults

Personal traits/qualities desired:
-Patient
-Leadership skills

Education/ Qualifications required:
-Grade 11 completed

Languages:
-English
-Mandarin is an asset

Minimum Time Commitment expected: -Preferably 3 months


Requirements

Minimum age: 16


Schedule

Dates: 01/05/2018 - 01/05/2019

Frequency: up to 3 months

Wednesday: Mornings (6am to 12pm)
