Steveston: Volunteer Seniors Tech Assistant 
Steveston Community Centre


Deadline: Volunteers are accepted on a rolling basis.

Steveston Community Centre is looking for volunteers 25 years old or older to educate and support seniors (55+) with smartphones, iPads, and other devices!

Why should you volunteer?
Gain problem-solving, listening, & social skills while connecting with seniors in a warm & compassionate manner.

Dates & Times:
Shift time: 1:00-3:30 PM on Wednesday afternoons at the Steveston Japanese Cultural Centre

- Assist & educate seniors on gadgets and devices
- Demonstrate & assist with general usage, settings, memory cleaning
- Show seniors how to download and use a variety of apps, navigate the internet, and send emails

- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Must pass a criminal record check & an interview.
- Must be willing to develop & take feedback.
- Must be knowledgeable on technology and information searches.
- Must be polite, patient, and caring.
- Cantonese is considered an asset.
- Must be on time, prepared for the day, & dressed appropriately.
