Kite making facilitator 
Pacific Rim Kite Festival at Garry Point Park

Description

Overview:
The BCKA (British Columbia Kite Fliers Association) is a non-profit organization that promotes the making and flying of kites for all age groups throughout BC.

Event Volunteer Time Commitment:
2 days, 6.5h per day; June 15-16, 2019, 10:00am - 4:30pm

Location:
Garry Point Park, Richmond (Steveston)

Position Description:
Volunteers will be assisting child/teen to build a simple sled kite during the kite festival in Garry Point Park, Richmond, BC. The kite consists of 5 parts, and takes about 5-10 minutes to build. You will be trained on how to build the kite and work with children. There will be supervision in the workshop tent at all times. Each volunteer should be able to build +50 kites each day.

Required Skills and Experience:
Good command of the English language, patience and a sense of humor.
