Information on Selected Volunteer Opportunity

2022 Fall (Adults) Tech Buddies - Richmond Public Library 


Provide hands-on help with technology learning to seniors at various community centres and seniors' facilities in Richmond. Volunteers should be 50+, tech-savvy and comfortable teaching technology basics on phones, tablets, or laptops. Additional languages are an asset.

All applicants will go through the current Richmond Public Library volunteer screening process and practice before the assignment.

Reminder: Only volunteers who are 50+ will be considered for this opportunity.

Specific Tasks:
Offer advice and guidance to older adults on a variety of devices in a patient and friendly manner, and corresponding with their needs, interests, and skill levels. Set up and take down equipment and supplies for each session, as needed.

Additional info: This opportunity is open to adult volunteers ages 50+ only. Volunteers must be fully screened to participate. A mandatory orientation is scheduled for all volunteers.
