Craft Volunteers at Your Minoru Booth 2017
World Festival on Sept.2, 2017

Description

Anticipated to be completed in spring 2018, the Minoru Centre for Active Living will be an innovative multi-purpose City of Richmond facility that will house aquatic and fitness services, seniors’ services and amenities to support the upgraded sports fields in Minoru Park. This new facility will replace and expand the functions of the existing Minoru Aquatic Centre and Minoru Place Activity Centre (Seniors Centre), as well as the former Minoru Pavilion.

To keep Richmond residents informed and engaged in the project, a dedicated project website has been launched - www.yourminoru.ca.

The Minoru Centre for Active Living public engagement team will have a booth at the Richmond World Festival on Saturday, September 2 at Minoru Park to share information about the project and the project website, as well as the associated Facebook and Instagram pages. Visitors to the booth will have a chance to learn about the new facility and make a Your Minoru-themed friendship bracelet that will appeal to all cultures!

We are looking for volunteers to help visitors to the booth make the bracelets. The ideal volunteer will enjoy helping children with crafts and be comfortable standing for the majority of the shift.

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following shifts:

10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (6 volunteers required)

2:30 – 8:00 p.m. (6 volunteers required)

Breaks will be available during the shift.

Please sign up the shift at the Schedule button if you can help.
