Steveston Community Centre

Description

Steveston Community Centre is seeking 2 sporty volunteers to assist the instructor with soccer; children ages 3-5 and 5-8 years old lean new soccer skills, dribbling, passing and fun games.

Date and Time
Sundays, September 17-December 3 2:00-4:30pm
Saturdays, September 23-December 9 9:15-11:45am

Responsibilities
Support children during the class, teaching children the basic techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defence, and practicing their skills during friendly games. Assist the instructor with set-up and take down of equipment. 

Additional Information 
A criminal record check is needed to volunteer in this program.

Additional info: This volunteer opportunity is for every Saturday or Sunday.
When you sign up you will automatically be assigned to all Saturdays or Sundays and you will be expected to volunteer the full duration.

Help contribute to creating a culture of volunteerism and community connectedness by sharing your story

The City of Richmond is updating its Volunteer Management Strategy and we NEED to hear from YOU. Help us drive the Volunteer Management Strategy by sharing your story.

We want to learn about your experiences volunteering so that we can support your needs and goals as a volunteer. 

We are collecting personal stories of volunteer experiences within the City of Richmond that may be shared with the community. Do you have a unique story or experience of volunteering? Has volunteering impacted you in some way? Would you like to share that experience with others in the community?


Stories may be featured on the City website or websites of our partner organizations, in newsletters, at public recognition events, or in some other public way. You can choose to leave your story anonymous or put a name or initials to it. If you have a story to share, please email it to Angela Rai at arai@richmond.ca.
