Kite making facilitator June 13 - 14, 2020 
British Columbia Kite Fliers Association (BCKA)

Description

Overview:
The BCKA (British Columbia Kite Fliers Association) is a non-profit organization that promotes the making and flying of kites for all age groups throughout BC.

Event Volunteer Time Commitment:
1 or 2 days, 6.5h per day; June 13-14, 2020, 10:00am - 4:30pm

Location:
Garry Point Park, Richmond (Steveston)

Position Description:
Volunteers will be assisting child/teen to build a simple sled kite during the kite festival in Garry Point Park, Richmond, BC. The kite consists of 5 parts, and takes about 5-10 minutes to build. You will be trained on how to build the kite and work with children. There will be supervision in the workshop tent at all times. Each volunteer should be able to build +40 kites each day.

Required Skills and Experience:
Good command of the English language, patience and a sense of humor.

Parkinson's Wellness Exercise Class - Seniors - POSTPONED

Steveston Community Centre is seeking 1 - 2 volunteers for our Senior's Parkinson's Wellness Exercise Classes. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in health and wellness, fitness or working with older adults.

Tuesdays & Thursdays (ongoing)

1:00 - 2:00pm

Responsibilities
Assist the instructor with set-up of light equipment. Aid participants in class by spotting them and helping with exercises.

Additional Information
Must be able-bodied and have good communication skills. A criminal record check is required for this opportunity.

RYBL Basketball Coach -Spring League 
Richmond Youth Basketball League

Volunteer Head Coach


Richmond Youth Basketball League is looking for volunteer head coaches for the 2020 Spring League Season



The commitment level is as follows:

Tuesday Spring League
Grade 4/5 and 6/7 Co-ed Leagues (May 12th-June 23rd)

*Grade 4/5 Sessions will be from 6pm-7:30pm
*Grade 6/7 Sessions will be from 7:40pm-9:10pm
*You may choose between the two age groups.



Saturday Spring League
Grade 4-5 (May 16th- June 20th)
Sessions will be from 10am-1130am

Grade 6/7
Sessions will be from 1140am-110pm
*Requested minimum time is 1.5 hours per week

*Criminal Record Check required

*Training will be provided

Richmond Youth Basketball League provides training opportunities and material for coaches throughout the entire season.

The commitment level is as follows:
Saturday Spring League
(May 16th- June 20th)

1110am-110pm
*May choose between either or both shifts.

Tuesday Spring League
May 12th- June 23rd
6pm-730pm
740pm-910pm
*May choose between one or both shifts

Training will be provided.
