Description

Join the Richmond Museum's Spring Break team and help with our annual Junior Curators Museum Camp for children aged 6-12!

Responsibilities:
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of daily activities
- Participate in and help run games and crafts
- Supervise children during field trips to local museums and heritage sites


This is an excellent opportunity for those who need volunteer hours, enjoy working with children and would like to give back to the community while having fun.


Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Preference will be given to volunteers who are able to volunteer from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day for the duration of the camp.
Camp 1 runs from Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22, 2024.
Camp 2 runs from Monday, March 25 to Thursday, March 28, 2024.


If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail your RESUME and AVAILABILITY (Camp 1 and/or Camp 2) to museumed@richmond.ca by MONDAY MARCH 4.

Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview.

Additional info: Police Information Check required.

Richmond Regional Heritage Fair 2024 - Event Day Volunteers

Come take a journey through history with us at Heritage Fair!

The Richmond Museum is looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to assist with our annual Richmond Regional Heritage Fair on Friday, May 10th.

Heritage Fair is a bilingual showcase of history projects created by Richmond students that discover Canada's rich culture and heritage. This event also offers unique, enriching activities that inspire a deeper appreciation for and curiosity about Canada's past.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who enjoy working with children, would like to give back to the community and support arts, culture and heritage while having fun.

Registration closes April 16th.

**This event takes place during the day on Friday, please ensure that you will be able to commit to the volunteer opportunity before signing up.

Additional info: There will be a mandatory online volunteer orientation session on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:00 pm. The orientation link will be emailed to you closer to the orientation date.

Richmond Regional Heritage Fair 2024 - Set Up Volunteers 
Richmond Museum

Description

The Richmond Museum is looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to assist with setting up for the annual Richmond Regional Heritage Fair.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who enjoy working independently after receiving direction. Volunteers should also be comfortable with lifting 15-20 pounds.

Key Duties include to:

- Assist with covering tables with paper
- Assist with program activity preparations
- Set up program spaces as directed

Shifts:
- Wednesday, May 8 - 12:00pm 4:00 pm
- Thursday, May 9 - 11:00 am 2:00 pm
