Description
Purpose of the position:
To assist in the therapeutic horse riding sessions in the Fall session from Monday-Wednesday starting September 13 to December 15, 2021
Responsibilities and Activities:
Giving support to the riders by walking alongside the horse. Assisting in getting the equipment/tack ready.
Date/ Time of the activity:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, mornings and afternoon sessions. Volunteer would hopefully commit to one session per week.
Site location:
Twin Oaks Farm. 13671 No. 3 Road, Richmond
Working conditions:
Lots of walking and being able to physically reach up to support a rider if necessary.

Training will be provided, so no experience necessary

Languages: English
Screening required for this position:
All volunteers will be required to go through the Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association application and screening process. Criminal Record Check will be required

Orientation will be provided

One morning or afternoon
Other expectations of volunteer: To assist in other areas as directed by the coordinator. E.g. Setting up of Arena
