In order to register for the City of Richmond's Volunteer Program, the City must collect some personal information from you. Some of the information that we collect is required (required fields are indicated on the online application with an asterisk *) while some information is optional.
In order to register, you will be asked to provide the following types of information:

your general skills, training, language abilities, and educational background;
your emergency contact information and relevant medical conditions, if any;

Your registration information will be securely stored on a City of Richmond server and if you become a volunteer it will be used to track your volunteer activities. You will be able to update and review your registration and profile information as needed.
Once you apply to a specific volunteer position, or select a specific location you would like to volunteer at, your profile information will be shared with the volunteer recruiter(s) at that specific City facility. This is so that the volunteer opportunity can be effectively administered and managed. Depending on the volunteer positions you apply for, your profile may also be shared with one of the City's partner agencies such as a Community Centre Association or Volunteer Richmond.
The City requires your consent to use, distribute and manage your personal profile and registration information as described.
