You Can Help
The City of Richmond, along with our community partners, offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for students, adults and seniors. You can choose to help run summer day camps for kids, volunteer with fun recreation, arts, heritage or sports programs, help out at a community or major special event, or be involved in a parks or environmental program. Whether you would like to explore career options, meet new people, build leadership skills or volunteer your time to help the community, there are a variety of short and long term volunteer opportunities all year round.
In order to volunteer for the City of Richmond or one of our community partners, you must first register with us. To register as an individual, group or with Emergency Services, please click on one of the pictures below. Alternatively you can search for our current volunteer positions using the "Opportunity Search" button on the left, and then register as one of our volunteers once you have found a suitable opportunity. If you are already registered with us, please log in using the "Existing Volunteer Login" button.
You are encouraged to sign up for any of our volunteer opportunities, although the following are our current "Hot Opportunities." Please consider applying for a volunteer position in one of these areas once you are registered:
